SHOW HOURS: 10:00-5:00 Saturday and Sunday. Check in both days 9:15-9:45 am
REGISTRATION: To show a cat in a TICA show your cat will need to have a TICA registration number or be eligible for registration.
All cats shown in the following classes must be TICA registered to be entered in a show: Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits. All cats shown in the Kitten, Championship, and Alter classes must be TICA registered or eligible for registration. If not registered, proof of registration eligibility is required to enter the show. Contact the entry clerk for more information on how to enter your cat, kitten, or alter without at TICA registration number. Household Pets and Household Pet Kittens do not need to be TICA registered to compete. However, to be scored for TICA titles and regional/International awards, all cats (other than household pet kittens) must be registered by their second show. Please contact TICA for registration forms and information (TICA, P. O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551).
SHOW RULES: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and show committee. BENCHING: One adult or two kittens are allowed per single cage space. A single cage (also noted in the pricing as an extra 1/2 cage) is approx. 24"L X 22"W X 22"H. Most entry fees include full double cages spaces (approx. 44"L x 22"W x 22"H). Anyone using their own cages must have even full-double cage spaces. For those using wire cages, the two sides, back, and top must be covered. For the comfort of your cat(s), please bring something for the bottom of the cage.
FOR SALE: Sales cages will be available to exhibitors. TICA rules allow no more than two kittens, or one cat benched in a single cage. No kitten under 3 months of age will be allowed in the show hall (be prepared to show proof of age), and no kittens or cats may be confined to carriers during show hours.
SERVICES: Litter will be available. Please bring your own litter pans, cat food, and bowls. There will be people food available in the show hall.
HEALTH: This is a non-vetted show. Cats showing signs of ear mites, fleas, fungus, or other illness will be escorted from along with any other cats owned, housed, or agented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be immunized against feline rhinotracheitis, calici virus, and panleukopenia, and should test negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Any feline from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within twenty-one days prior to the opening day of the show is ineligible for entry. An obviously pregnant or lactating cat will be disqualified. TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to judging.
Kittens: All kittens entered for competition must be at least four (4) and not more than eight (8) calendar months old on the day of the show. Kittens may be spayed or neutered.
Household Pets: Household pets are very welcome at this show! Household pets over 8 months of age MUST be spayed or neutered. If you are not sure of the proper class or color of your cat, check out http://www.seregiontica.org/Colors/intro.htm or send a digital photo to the entry clerk purberri@yahoo.com for color classification.
Clerks/Stewards: If you are interested in clerking, please indicate so on the summary sheet, along with any judge preference. Judge preferences cannot be guaranteed. TICA certified clerks will be compensated $60 per day plus lunch and a fully marked catalog. You will be compensated at the end of the show on the day you clerk. Be sure to return all clerking supplies back in order before leaving for the day. Stewards are needed and will be paid $25 per day.
Awards: Awards will be awarded in accordance with TICA Show Rules. This show is scored for TICA Regional and International awards.
Sponsors: Ring sponsors are encouraged. Ring Sponsor ($50 SILVER,$75 GOLD,$100 PLATINUM) Sponsor name will be posted in all rings.
Liability: Neither Central Jersey Cat Fanciers, nor Sheraton Parsippany Hotel will be held liable for injury, illness, loss or damage to cats, exhibitors, property of exhibitor, property of exhibitors, vendors, or other such persons or property in attendance.
